Dr. Lava Alive?

About 1.5 months ago I received my third flex drive from dr lava. This was the first drive DOA. I emailed him and in less than 10 minutes he responded and said mail it back. I sent it back with a tracking number. The number says it was delivered on April 22. I have heard nothing I have tried to email him many times, send him a PM on the forum and post in his public profile with no response. Is he out of the laser game? I wanted to buy more drivers but now I am thinking I will have to use this damn EE degree and actually make my own. I would be odd to design something for my self for a change but I think I can do it.

Last time I had an issue like this the ebay seller actually died and the wife eventually sent my order about 2 months later. So Dr. Lava where are you and are you alive?

Yeah i got a pm reply yesterday. He"s alive and still around.

Well I hope he replies to me soon I have sent about 6 emails and a PM so maybe he will get back to me I really want to know whats going on. I have been ready to build for 2 months now and I am waiting on him. I really want to make another when I am done but I am worried if I order another flex drive I will have the same issues.

be a little more patient... Dr. lava has always been somewhat slow on these... yet
still gets the job done. I'm asking also to not just post in thread title a "life or death" matter for a return/exchange of simple drivers.

Can't be easy to experiment, develope, and have a personal life. Sure he's getting monetary rewards for his efforts... it is what it is.

The same thing I did with the last two I got from him attached it to a 405nm diode correctly and powered it up. The last two worked great this one had nothing at the output. I attached a dummy load of 3 1n4001 diodes and a 1 ohm resistor as per the manual and checked it with the scope on my lab bench I got nothing at the output.

I am fairly sure it came in a pink esd bag taped to a plastic holder.

I am being patient as far as I am concerned all I wanted to see was a sentence that said yes I got it but I am very busy now and I will be AFK for a week or 2 and seeing how others have gotten a response recently I don't think that is too much to ask for a quick mail note in a period of almost 2 months.
