I recently purchased a bunch of diodes and things from Dark. I must say the service was the best and the shipping was the fastest. The site seems to be low on inventory ATM but I am sure that is only because the prices are so great. I have always been a MODWERX shopper. It is nice to have a little bit of variety though.

No you never seem to be out of anything. I have never had that problem with your shop. i wanted to try out Dark though and pick up some PHR sleds but he was all out. I looked around the rest of his shop and he seems to be out of a LOT of things.

You are totally right! I just went and re-read what I wrote. i got it backwards. Sorry Drew, That is not what I meant at all. I meant the complete opposite. In any case it is nice to have multiple sellers out there so that if one happens to be out of a particular product you have another to fall back on. My bad.

Yeah, i've got plenty of stock on the way, i thing diversity id great as well.

Drews shop is better for international customers, i reccomend all my internationsl custys to modwerx.

My shop is geared towards USA convenience, and super fast shipping. I have allot of the same items, but they run out quickly, thats why its good that modwerx is around, so if im out, people can still get what they need, thats both myne and drews main goal im sure, is customer satisfaction. I try to keep my prices as close as possible as well... despite recent claims, i am really not trying to put anyone in the ditch, i think the max difference in price for most of the popular items is $1.00 or less.

I tend to be a bit cheaper, and i have no day job, so i ship the same day if purchased b4 4PM est time fast shipping is majorly desirable to consumers im sure. i hope to get my international shipping prices sorted out soon.

And thank you for the support guys, truely. it's much appreciated, it's the reason i have the shop to supply the community with the things they need at least the best i can, some sites over-charge horribly (not modwerx) but some do, and i feel thats not right when the true cost of the parts is lower than you think... hence the low prices me and Drew have achived

I hope both our businesses do great, Drew covers allot of the international sales, and i make 99% USA sales, so it works out actually, i dont think either of us has lost any profit due to competition, because both sites have great customer service, fast shipping, diverse selectiong, and low prices! (me and drew have the lowest prices around i do believe?)

Anyways, kudos for the support, i will do my best to make Dark Lasers as diverse as possible. i will be stocking flexdrives soon, once i have those, you will be able to buy ALL the parts you need to make your OWN laser

In 1-2 weeks, i will also be selling PHR's in modules WITH a RKCSTR or FLEXDRIVE pre-installed, with current pre-set for free

That should help allot of new users start off more easily, so they dont have to mess with test loads, and pressing/extracting diodes and whatnot.

I also have a friend (Mrcrouse) who is making me some awsome diode preses too! that will press ANY diode into any Aixiz or sure modulev(90% of all sure modules fit)

O-like modules are coming back in stock too, in about 1-2 weeks, i made a very large order, so i had to get the slower shipping, as it was quite expensive for DHL shipping on this particular order.

I will also be stocking 5mW green lasers DOMESTICLY here in the usa yup, no more ordering from china! im sure a few other places sell them too in the USA, but i will only stock POT-MODDABLE lasers, so you can get a 50mW laser for the price of a 5mW laser (50 is an estimate)

O-like blu-ray drivers will be in stock in a day or so as well,

Lets see... OH, i am making a "Spare Parts" catagory, for replaacement aixiz focusing rings, springs, and the back end barrels (can be used to make diode press sleeves)

Also, acrylic lenses will be in stock in 1-2 days, so if you lens melts, or you need one to open the back off, or you just plain scratch it, you can get a brand new replacement acrylic lens for $0.49 cents! same price for the focusing ring as well, some sellers sell aixiz modules withought them (i've gotten over 5 withouth the ring) if your one of the unlucky few, you can remedy you problem now

GGW-H20L sleds will be in stock soon, as well as GGW-H20L 6x diode in module (with option for driver pre-installed) as well.

I am trying to locate a cheap source for BDR-203 8x sleds (no these are NOT true 8x sleds, but they ARE capable of 400+mW's) i dont reccomend running more than 250mA to this diode. i will offer the sled, and diode in module with driver option as well. so hopefully i can get at least 5 of those to start off with, it's a great alternative to a 6x diode, sometimes these drives can be located fairly cheap, and i do believe my new sled supplier has some bare sleds (They have the two COPPER heatsinked diodes (red and IR) on one corner of the sled. their decently priced too, and the price drops with an order of 5+ peices. so i'll try and get those in if anyone shows any interest

I see what is happening now.

Y'all are confusing the "S"03 sleds with the "2"03 burners.

The Pioneer BDR-203 bluray burner is an 8X and runs at 8X currents (not completely figured out yet). They appear to be the equivalent of the LG BH08 (WH08?) burners that are being tested by IgorT now.

The "S"03 SLEDS that I tested are what proved to be less than 8X's (also still to be determined). I believe Bryce has started calling these "F"03 sleds where the "F" stands for fake.:crackup:

Thanks for clearing that up Dave, there has been a lot of diode number confusion around here and in the murder fund thread.

Its bad to mix up the SO3 s with the 203 s.

I have made a couple orders from tyler now and he even did a build for me. I have nothing but good things to say about him. Seriously, the fastest shipping ever! I cant wait for dark lasers to get more stock, so I can be broke again.
I dont know why everybody is always busting his balls about EVERYTHING, he is doing his job and is damn good at it.

Sorry dave, lol that was a typo, i appologize, didnt mean to confuse anyone.

What i was trying to get at (and i contacted my supplier, and they FINALLY gave me a number)

I can get these sleds for $50 flat, (BDR-S03) not the 203's, dont get me wrong lol, (oh god how i wish we COULD get 203's for $50!!!) but i am willing to simply stock these sleds, and redistribute for simply the cost of shipping so that people wanting the white fusion kit, can simply buy an S03 instead of a GGW (they DO put out more power, and are a bit more hardy than a GGW right Dave?) im not too familiar with the differences between the two (comparison wise i mean)

And also, if you'd be willing to test the diodes for me Dave, i'd really appreciate it. (when i get the BDR-S03 sleds) i really can get them for $50 per unit, and am willing to provide them as a commodity *spelling* for people doing the white fusion kit (awsome name BTW, i never got to give you props for that) my name for it sucked lol, (7-color beam engine) lol!

because i know allot of people have doubts if im selling the real deal or not (such as with Grix in my ban thread, i will meter his laser LIVE for everyone to see, OR send it right to you Dave, and even pay you postage to ship it to Grix after you veryfiy it IS a true GGW 6x (unless you'd rather send it back to me and i'll ship it to him, postage at my expense, that would be perfectly 100% ok with me)

Boosted_4cyl - Im going to get more 30mW modules, and aixiz glass lenses too. (do you think a 5-15mW green would be bright enough? i had to tone my 50mW in my 7-color WAY down to like 28mW's to get the blend just right) i'll also try and get some 5-15mW modules if i can (i think susie sells 3-packs of them for $30 some odd dollars)

Hope that these S03 sleds can be of use, i mean they would only cost the same as a GGW sled (wich is about $50 from the distributor) so my question to Dave is, Would it be a better buy to get the S03's instead of the GGW's sinde their the same price?

Just curious, i had allot of people ask me for diodes for their white-fusion kits, and i figured if we can get access to cheap "F03" sleds (lol! cool name) and thought it might help some people out. the sleds are definately the real deal, they have the two copper colored heatsinks on the corner of the sled (the red, and IR diode) so im 100% positive the sleds are real.

Let me know if your willing to verify these for me dave, as i want people to feel comfortable buying, and it it helps get more people to build 7-color kits, then thats good for us! and the forum, and SightFX

Just throwin that out there, thanks for the kind words Boosted I'll try and get you those modules as soon as i can (are you sure you only want a 5-15mW module?, i think sight said the 30mW's are the ideal modules to use, but i could be mistaken)
