That looks like that will all work out-- It would be a real shame if Rod( a nice guy) lost his $$.
FYI never send PP as personal- unless you know who you are dealing with. There are asaik only two reasons to ask to get PPed this way 1) the seller is just merely trying to save a few$$ on the already too high PP fees 2) The seller does not want to every HAVE to refund to you.
A trusted seller can give you your $$ back by simply 'gifting' it back to you.(not as a refund)
I guess the argument can be made that-say for example - you are sending a perfectly good diode but the buyer is a idiot and kills it (Static charge or subbing two CR batts for a 18650, etc)-- If the payment were sent as a 'gift' or personal- 'payment owed'- a scamming buyer could not use PP the abet in the scam.
One last bit of info
If you are sending PP personal- to your friendly trusted seller-- DO NOT put in the notes to seller-- This is for the widget I want to buy from you.
A gift or service is not an item purchased,, my 2 cents

I know it's a risk, but I have always tried to treat others as I would want to to be treated. Yes, I've been the victim of my share of scams, but for the most part, I beleive people are good and do what is right in the end.
I'm still waiting for my refund (I just checked before writing this).
I hope Adam will be a *stand up guy* and send my money back soon. I figured he would have done it by now but,......still waiting.
He might have limited internet access, but I do see him listed as "online" on the forum alot. (like right now)
I was mainly interested in the "Dealextreme 50mw Focusable Flashlight style" he was selling. I thought it might make a good host to tinker with.
The rest of them, I planed on selling or trading off, for other laser related items (IE..an IR filter) to recoup some of the cost.
On a side note, I think some people thought I tried to swipe the sale from them. But in all
honesty, the PM's I was getting from Adam made me think the first one who paid would get them. If I offended anyone in the process, I'm truely sorry.

I did this specifically because I can afford the "hit" if it came. It is about the only way to know about someone new.

Time to face the facts. Adam is not going to return my money. It would only take 5 minutes and limited time to be online is not an excuse for this length of time. I really hope Dave at least gets the lasers.

People like this annoy me and are the reason scammers keep at it. You didn't read this thread at all... Just the op, and most likely didn't read the forum rules. Sorry, I just hate people who have nothing better to do than steal others hard earned money, esp. in this economy.
That said...hope you guys get your refund or lasers. Did the person who vouch for him actually deal with him? Also guys I may have a way to track him down...if need be
