Well, those ads and this sell both had the same paypal account attached to it, so I'm going to go with stupid.

Oh, right. I didn't notice. Fair enough, can't see how they can not be the same guy in that case.

If you hadn't noticed they usually always do. But this kid will get whats coming to him eventually.

This is one of those things that can only end one of a few ways. One possible ending is jail, another is a close call and deciding to stop because of that. It doesn't look like the sort of thing people attempt a few times and then stop, it's more likely they'll just keep going until something bad happens. Until that point, the scams will become more outrageous and daring, eventually complacent.

looks like this perp will probably get away with this scam, and continue with other forums.
It's really sad because people actually have the info and resources to do something about it in this case. Scammers like this are like chronic shoplifters. Until they get caught and punished they'll just keep finding different victims.
By saying "oh it's just $70 who cares?" you're basically enabling this guy to go and victimize more people.

True that. It's really annoying the crap out of me that these three victims are too apathetic to do anything about this. We have all of his information, and because everyone here is just idling, nothing will ever happen to this little bastard.

Exactly, I've seen it happen a few times to friends of mine. It will never end well.

What makes you think they haven't? If your going to bitch about it, bitch to the authorities who don't give a damn. Call the cops in some random town and tell them that someone stole your money over the internet and you even have a confession and see what they do with it, just to see how they respond.

Do you have any proof they are not doing anything? I would check your facts before you start talking crap like that.

Fact is, you can go around stealing all you want on the internet. The local authorities won't do anything about it, and the feds won't touch it till it reaches a certain amount. The only recourse is civil court, and you would loose more money filing then you would probably get back. (You also can't get water out of dry dirt.)

The only thing you can do is drag his name through the mud as much as possible to hopefully prevent someone else getting drug into a scam (ie. Andrew Biddar, google it.) But who seriously sifts through pages and pages of google results before they make a deal with someone online?

If people were a little smarter with their money there would be no problem. Another thing that most people don't know is what paypal actually protects you from (hint: Its not much) Research before you buy and use common sense!

too bad nobody saved a picture of him. post it on as many forums' buy/sell threads to warn others, not that the pix would/could do anything. just to give adam a thought that people are on to him. haunt him for a while.

When you have a guys name, address and other info there's all kinds of things you can do to get back at them if you really want to. They don't necessarily have to be legal things like reporting him to the local cops(who won't do crap about it).

Well, of course it is... that's kind of stating the obvious. Why else would someone want to steal my hard-earned money?
Greed on the part of the buyer, that is. No one would fall victim for nigerian scams if they didn't try to take advantage of that nigerian millionaire princess who needed her $$$ transferred... in this case it wasn't really greed on the part of the buyer though, more carelessness (no offense buyers lol) as there were plenty of warnings.

100 Cool Points (I assume these are valid currency here on LPF, since we're such a cool group of people) to whomever can find his profile on Facebook. I tried, but there are hundreds of Adam Walshes.
