I am not saying who.. but if you find a deal like this on FleaBay dont bother to bid.
The seller want ~17$ to ship. So I ask about combining seveal modules in one box if one that BIG can be found. Seller, lets call the elm tree sales(cause they are just as shady) fails to give me a straight answer and instead asks me how many am i going to win. Dontcha just love it when a question get answered with another question!!

So I put a snipe on a few and won a few for very little. I get an invoice for $67+ to ship items that would fit in a box the a size of your fist. When I request another invoice I get mumbo jumbo about how delicate these are and very special packaging is needed and that some they send out are not so good so the must often replace them and how expensive it is to get them shipped from China===PLEASE.

And since the shipping is not refundable my guess is that to get a replacement you must pay the rip-off shipping rate again. or if you choose a refund you get back the dollar you spent on the module but nothing back on the WAY overpriced shipping..What a racket!!!
So then they send me a vailed threat about filing a case against me for non-payment.The module is most likely from a 7$ pointer with no IR filter so a lot of what you get is IR.

Then they came back at me wanting to make nice by offering cancelling . I kinda knew it would go that way-- just another reason so many peeps think that feebay really sucks nowadays. I offered to pay 34$ for shipping as a compromise but they would not budge. SO dont buy any modules from a seller that fits this description. A one cent module is not worth it.

Don't worry, you should have the upper hand here.

1. Transferring cost from the item value to shipping is a violation of eBay policy. Because, it robs eBay of the Final Value Fee on the auction. eBay does NOT look kindly on this.

2. He cannot leave you negative feedback, because sellers cannot leave feedback for buyers.

You should politely tell him:

Sir,

Please quote me a reasonable shipping fee for the combined order.

If you do not, I will report your auctions to eBay, and point out to eBay that you are avoiding paying the proper Final Value Fee by selling for 1 cent, and charging ridiculous shipping. They will ban you as a seller when they check and see what you have been up to.

(Then, if he does not cooperate, report him. By reporting him, you protect yourself from getting a non-payment case filed against you. When eBay NARUs him, he can't do squat).

I kind of got a lesson from someone like that on Ebay too man. Cost an arm to ship to me 2 405nm diodes and they were suppose to be no farther away from me than 170 miles. The next kick was it took about 2 weeks to get the shipment!! Then he wanted to argue about my rating of doing business with him.

@ Shadow...
pretty much knew all that but like to give them a chance at something a little closer to fair w/o my making threats......so much for that... he hinted about nonpaying bidder bs. Just feel like i would be stooping to his level. I agreed to cancell. Left 4 neutral fbs with lowest stars for comm. skillz and shipping ..

what really pisses me off , and please anyone who can correct me, plz do, if he sells these 'sometimes defective(his words) DPSS green modules and you get a dud he only has to refund the final bid amt, not the S&H. So if all four of mine turned out to be DOA since I won two listings and 1cent, one for 6 cents and 15 cents on the forth. he gets to keep the 67$ in shipping and rerfund me 23cents OR he may want to replace free but maybe have to pay he 67$ in shipping to get four replacements nets from Western Lousianna to Houston- I can drive there and back for 67$. I would be shocked if they were Ir filtered. His description says 100mWs +/_ 20%. I told him I had lpms and that I ship all over and I knew how shipping is to and from everywhere .

I looked thru the list of completed sales and did not recognize anyone from LPF but maybe someone did get one of these and can see if they are no more than 10$ green pointer modules.

If he can prove that you received the items... whether defective or not
eBay sides with the seller.
If you are really not satisfied because the seller said a "Blue Ring" and shipped
you a "yellow shoe"... eBay will make you prove what you received and if
convinced will ask you to ship the item back with proof of delivery... to get
a full refund... But you must swallow the costs to ship it back...
Been there... Done that...

I would have left him Negative feedback with a warning to other Buyers...

Ileft my neg comments w/ my neutral FBs. That should give potential bidders a strong hint.

No way would I pay that.

So the scamsters are not always the bidders.

if it looks too good......

Uhm, i guess you're speaking about that lot of modules that are on ebay marked as "usa fast shipping" on the pics, and that looks as if the front lens is hold in place from a piece of black plastic tube ..... if yes, i've already seen some similar modules in those ultracheap 1mW chinese pointers ..... and, if this is the case, i think the only way you can get a lot of them not mounted in the pointers, is when you get a lot of defective ones sold as scrap from the manufacturer :p
