ive still got the 602 test to complete the A+ cert but once thats out of the way i can start looking for a decent job. i plan on doing the network+ test next after that though.

and then on to CISCO?
I jumped in at the deep end quite a few years ago and went straight for Cisco CCNA completing the Network+ along the way...Then Cisco CCNP.
Long hours, constantly studying and keeping up with the ever changing/evolving technology...you will earn every penny that you make, believe me!

we'll see how it goes. ill have to decide what i like more... theres so many certs you can get in relation to IT... theres 12 certs just offered by comptia..

I remember back when those certs were a standard in "who is working on your system"
Nowadays experience speaks louder.
Of course any sort of schooling is good.
Good luck on the rest of your exams. My only suggestion to you would be to learn by doing also. Install , deinstall then reinstall , configure, reconfigure etc..
