I've been noticing quite a few impressive laser pics here on LPF lately and thought it would be interesting to find out what some of you are sporting in your camera bags. You don't need to have a whole bag-full of gear to take a decent photo of your lazor so please do post your gear, even if it's a simple, but good "point & shoot"
As for myself, I have the following in my "bag".
---------------------------------------
SLR Bodies:
Canon 50D
Canon 350D (Rebel XT)
SLR Lenses:
Canon EF 1.8/50 II
Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM
Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II (backup)
Canon EF 24-105 4L IS USM
Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0 L IS USM
Tamron AF 18-200/3.5-6.3 Di II (backup)
Sigma 24-70 2.8 DG HSM (traded)
Pocket (P&S) Cameras:
Canon Powershot A630 (goes wherever I go!)
Sony Cybershot DSC-V1
Nikon Coolpix 950 (retired)
Extras:
Canon Speedlite 580 EX Flash
Metz 28 CS-2 Digital Slave Flash
LumiQuest Promax (flash diffuser)
Canon BG-E3 Grip
Canon RC-5 IR & RS-60 remotes
Hoya digital Pro polarizers, ND & UV filters
SanDisk Extreme CF / SDHC cards
Manfrotto 724B Tripod
Manfrotto 676B Monopod
Manfrotto 345 Table-Top Tripod
Lowepro Slingshot 200 AW ("sling" backpack)
Kata 3N1-22 Sling backpack
Wish list:
Luma-Loop
---------------------------------------
Most of my laser pics (macros and near-distance shots) are done with my EF-S 60mm which is the sharpest lens I've ever owned :bowdown:I would say it's Canon APS-C's equivalent of their FF's venerable EF 100 2.8 Macro.
If I want to be more flexible in focal length while shooting my lazors, I'll turn to my new 17-55 (what has since replaced my Sigma 24-70, used for some of my LPF reviews).
The most recent addition to my collection (and the reason why I won't be participating in Glenn's CNI GB#9...) is the 70-200 4L. Sharpest zoom I have ever had in my hands...
