20x dvd-rw drive
floppy drive(no data cable b/c i dont have one long enough)
2x 1tb hdd
3x fan (1x 120mm, 2x 80mm)
2x opteron 280 2.4ghz cpu

4x 2gb pc-3200 ecc registered ram(8gb total)
a-power 850w psu
eatx tower case w/ 4x 5.25" bays, 2x 3.25" bays, and 2x 3.25" internal bays
19" sva monitor w/ speakers

case and processors were bought used. monitor was a refurb as well as the ram(all ram is the same make/model). all other parts were new. this computer was mostly used as a workstation for my website and i dont really need it. any info relating to possible value would be greatly appreciated.

not sure about total cost sorry.. but I'll take the 2x 1TB HDD if you want to sell them. PM ME

i didnt mention it but theyre sata hdd's. if i decide to part it out ill let you know.

Wow...this one is tough for me......

With out looking any of the actual prices up, I would guess some where between 800 and 1200 USD

But like I said...this one is tough for me. I typically don't work with Servers.

are these brand new parts or used. If used prices should be lower.

i.e the cpu heatsinks you quoted the new parts price.
the HD are worth 80.00 new with free shipping @ newegg
what kind of case? which nvidia card?


the best way to do this would be to find the current prices then discount used and refurbed state on them.

havent i already posted what you asked?

i dont remember where i got the hdd's from but what i paid was the cheapest price available at the time...

the prices listed dont even include stuff like cables or the silencing kit thats on it as well as a few other thing i had to buy.

If i could sell things near the price i paid for them a while ago , i'd be rich. ( i.e an ibm 386 for 8000.00 back in the day)

most retail kits come with cables and the like , and an expensive case should have some pretty good silencing. (i.e most server cases have sound dampening liners)


Im not trying to beat down your config or pricing, im trying to answer your original question and putting the pricing scheme within perspective.

I do apologize if it may have sounded wrong.

this was never used in a server environment. if anything it was used more as a workstation for between 5-20min a day. theres been hardly any use on it on my part. all i do is print packing slips and shipping labels with it. thats why im trying to find out how much i should sell it for.
