That is horrifying. A minute of checking out those made the plastic keys on my laptop warm up.

Hrmm, requires WebGL to run... gotta see how to install it, I keep getting an error message saying my browser doesn't support it.

Upon further research it is only Chrome and Firefox that support WebGL... no wonder.. I don't use either of them! I guess I'll grab chrome for a test.

Ran solid 60+ fps on all simulations except N-Body, where I had a solid 42fps. i7-4770k + GTX760 w/ 16gb sysram.

Neat. Makes my GPU fan run but it doesn't get too hot. I'm getting if I let these sims run and walk away my GPU would overheat though?

Heheh, I get 46-47 fps on n-body with a much weaker computer: AMD Phenom II 965BE and GTX560

Thus is it proven that firefox is better than chrome

Running the N-Body simulation in chrome I get 75 fps supposedly

Hardware is a dual core Pentium G2020 , AMD 7950 @ 1150 Mhz core , usage is 85% .

.... back to folding we go XD

not sure what's going on, but on my system it seems frame limited to 60fps. my lcd is 60 hz, is yours higher? my card(s) are hovering at around 20% usage.

You have VSynch enabled. Vertical Synchronization limits the framerate to the refresh rate to prevent graphics distortions like screen tearing.

Btw, these sims only use a single core, so on cards and/or processors which are built for programs that use multi-threading it doesn't accurately benchmark the system. Modern i7's (4,6, and 8 core varieties) at 3.5GHz will actually underperform in these sims compared to older processors which are at similar clock speeds.
