Was in downtown Seoul today and saw a demo of the Arndaleboard
running an Exynos 5 processor (A15) running @ 1.8Ghz and I was instantly drooling like mad!!
The shop had this board running 4 different OS's Unbuntu, Linux, Windows 7, and Android.

from ARNDALE WIKI::wave:
Delivering exceptional performance and a clear, Wide Quad Extended Graphics Array (WQXGA) display, ARNDALE Board is an ideal solution to enhance the mobile device experience. With 24 bit, 2560 X 1600 resolution at 60 frames per second (fps), ARNDALE Board offers the worlds highest revolution support. It also includes OpenGL ES and OpenCL.

:) :)

ME wants this development board!

Anyone else curious about this? These are produced here locally in Korea.
The Arndale office is located outside of Seoul, in Suwon-shi (Gyeonggi do)

I see a (netbook)laptop project possibility with this...
I though I'd let everyone know about this seriously kickass board as it's got excellent potential from what I can see.

Anyone else interested in this?

You said it was running Ubuntu and Linux. But Ubuntu is a Linux distribution. Any idea what the other Linux was?

Yes I separated Unbuntu from Linux. I understand that Unbuntu is a linux distribution.

The linux in question was Linux Mint dist.

anyways... :thanks:

Yeah, that really is cool. Its crazy how fast stuff is advancing.

The board in question was running raw RED camera footage at 2560x1600 at 60fps then switched to a demo of the DAC and piped a SACD of a few well known artists including Sade, Sting and some classical music in (FLAC) over a pair of Marten Coltrane 2 's (ultra high end speakers). The DAC kit for this board is capable of 24bit 192Khz output!
This board even has a built in SATA 3 connector for a SSD/HDD!!
@ about $250 for the board I am seriously considering getting one!

Impressive stuff!! There was virtually no heating of the processor at all regardless of the content played. The Processing eff. per watt is astounding.:beer::beer::beer:
enjoy the demos.
