It all started when I bought a 4GB ipod nano with the money I got from reselling things that I got with WB's. And now I...I...I purchased a ihome

Not bad, I got it for $35 shipped on Ebay, it works great. Sure it's missing the AM antenna and ipod dock adapters, but it's not that big of a deal. Besides, who needs AM radio? Not to mention I ordered a adapter for my ipod nano though the ihome website for only $6 :)

It took a while for me to get the ihome, the seller wouldn't respond to emails, I had to open a dispute to even contact him, but once I did, nine days later, he decides to ship it. I got it today, it was pretty dirty, but after some Windex, and a few cotton swabs, I had it looking like new.

This thing is sweet, the sound is at par with my friends BOSE radio  Though it doesn't sound good when it's roaring like the BOSE.

Here are some pictures:

It's has a standard auxiliary input, so I can connect my notebook to it and the monitor to watch DVD's. In the next couple of months, when I get a xbox 360, I will most likely connect it to the ihome instead of the amplified PC speakers, because the ihome just sounds better.

Also, after I get my 360, and halo 3, I will probably get a remote. ::)

DUDE!!! I have one also, I WAS in love with it, but now I regret getting it - don't get me wrong, they are great speakers, but they charge the iPod. I left mine on it ALL the time and the battery was ruined ! It would give me 30 min - 1 hour of battery so I had to use the warranty and get it refurbished. It was REALLY old firmware, so I don't know if that is why, but I haven't left my iPod on the speakers since. Also, I wake up to it every morning, and the alarm goes from 1 volume to 22 volume in under 10 seconds, which completely scares the !@#$ out of me when I wake up ! (I will sleep through a radio or iPod so can only use buzzer LOL !!!)

But the sound quality is great for the price.

ooo thats a really nice base for the ipod

@rob
are you sure its the base that messed up ur batteries
because I had a 3rd gen ipod and a mini whose batteries basically died on their own
my nano and video has no problems even though its docked on one of my speaker/charger thing most of the time

This thing is awesome, I just woke up to it no less then 3 minutes ago, it's nice, because I can gradually get up. I don't have to jump out of bed like with a standard clock.

Though, I didn't have one of my usual rock bands playing, but instead an up beat electronic/trance song. I will try All American Rejects tomorrow, but it will most likely make me jump out of the bed, LOL ;D

I just got word from the manufacture, they say the charger is always active, it's the ipod that stops charging to prevent over charging. I bet this feature, was not on the third gen and older ipods, that would explain why they overcharge.

haha nice me and my alarm clock have some wonderful memories.. it screams realy loud and i broke the volume nob on it ;D also you have to press 2 buttons one after the other (quite hard on the first one too) and locating them is troublesome at that time of morning so i usualy just beat it with my fist until it shuts the hell up. :D one time i threw it across the room and it ripped out the power socket.. ;D i wake up angry. ;D

chief-eamonn... you are angry :p
Best way to shut up an alarm clock... beat on it.
I had one with a button cell battery, got so flat it went off and had no power left to receive the signal from the snooze or off buttons! just had to hit it until it shut up. LOL
