Wow, that's actually pretty cheap considering it's size!
I have got a few of them but nothing that size..

Someone on youtube has done a video of a circular one of these , and it is bigger in size with a diameter of 6 inches by 2 inches .

This one? I wonder what it's pull would be if it was N52.

These magnets are cool but dangerous, I have a dozen 2 inch diameter N42 balls and they are very difficult to separate.

I want giant magnets to play with, but Im scared of inadvertently destroying electronics and/or getting my hand caught between one and something metal.

Those magnets are dangerous. Was using one to clean and when I was putting it onto the other magnet my thumb was in between and the skin got torn off where it was sandwiched.

Be careful lol

I have always been so completely fascinated with magnets. It's interesting to me that I'm super hesitant to have them laying around these days with all the magnetic-storage we interface with in our day to day lives... credit/debit cards, non-ssd storage, etc. I need a special room in the house to serve as the magnetic wild wild west where caution can be thrown to the wind. lol

/c

pee ess. I also wish mercury wasn't as toxic. That stuff is just cool.

I would get one , keep it in a large box with Styrofoam and iron sheets to keep its field under control .

Would love to just have it for the " I just have it " :p .

I wish I had balls like that.

Man I want one.

I would think these would also be a hazard when shipping, unless they ship in a stainless steel box but that would be expensive. I hope they ship them in a large box with the magnet carefully packed in the middle of the box.
