G'day,

Thought id share this cool little device i bought a while ago from kickstarter.

Its called Fargo from LinorTek, its a relay board with 8x relays that has a built in web-server that you can log into and control the relays.

Ive got it hooked up to my garage door motor unit, so when i connect GND to P/B on the garage door unit, the garage door goes up or down.

The board requires 12VDC and a ethernet connection, it has lots of features i havent explored yet like turning the relays on from the Wide Area Network, im just using Local Area Network at the moment and email alerts.

They are working on a Analog and digital input version at the moment too which i will be getting early next year.

Heres a video i made:

Thanks for looking!

Fiddy.

I see a great use for launching model rockets or remote pyrotechnics with this device!
What kind of relays have these got?

:) Ideas.... Ideas :)

Is it bad my first application thought was "this would be great for a security system.. I could electrify every doorknob/windowframe with a 20kV NST array!"?

But...but ... but..

A ZVS driver attached to a High power flyback and a cascade circuit or 4 could suffice. High power stun gun.

:) :)

Definately lots of great uses in the security department.
