I use dvorak, have been for a year now, and after two months I didn't want to go back even though I was still struggling to learn it. Now I type much faster than I did on the Qwerty without realising. But I cannot use a Qwerty board anymore, which stuffs me when trying to use other computers, just as someone is when they try type on mine :).

That's probably the biggest obstacle for dvorak.Qwertys are everywhere and it would really bother you if you wanted to type on someone else's computer.I get frustrated when their computer's mouse doesn't have the same sensitivity as mine :p It would totally piss me off to find another keyboard layout.

Btw, I used to replace "QWER" with "D!CK" at school :D

Switch, keyboard layout is a 5 second change in windows. If you're good on dvorak at home, you don't need the key caps to tell you what you're typing. Just change it back when done... :p
anyway...
anyone else get the typing zone thing? it happens to me late at night mostly... i just suddenly can type really fast. i can do 80wpm once i get goin :p (qwerty)

i wish i could rearrange the keys on this board. it's a slim board (laptop style) so they have little supports that are really fiddly to change...
wtf. they actually don't. since when?!? eh well sleepy now, i'll get around to dvoraking someday soon.

in windows, once you've added more than one keyboard layout, you can switch between them by pressing left alt + left shift. pretty convenient for games that assume you're using "WASD" rather than ".AOE" for the directional arrows... or if you let someone else use your computer... otherwise they'll start typing like ydcow ydcbtcbi yday yd.pf-p. ,pcycbi brpmannf xgy ,d.b yd.f nrrt gl yd.f i.y p.annf jrbugo.e abe y.nn frg frg dak. a kcpgov
