I posted about this in the Win Thread a week or so ago, but still had a few more thoughts about it.

Basically Necomimi is a device that is worn on your head and reads your brain signals, which allows it to convey basic emotion through movement of two artificial ears mounted on the device.

I was wondering if anyone has one of these yet, or has had the chance to try one out in person? Does it really work well, or do the ears just randomly wiggle?

The device is only $49.99 and includes one set of ears.

Custom ear tips are also available:

You could probably also remove the ear tips entirely and attach LEDs to the mounts, possible allowing more complex emotions to be expressed than with just ear movements. Depending on how the sensor works.

Hi,
They are cool if they work as advertised. Does the woman come with the ears? If so i'll take two pairs ..

Would be cool to replace the ears with a mini laser projector to show your mood with different colors!

I wonder how many different moods the sensor is able to detect? Probably more than can be expressed with just ear motions. Wonder if you could place a small screen on top of the sensor headband and have it display emoticons corresponding to your moods instead of the ears.
