I run a rather large (in my opinion) multi monitor setup. Anyone else here do the same? I'm sure someone does. :p

What kind of a video card do you have in that? I did a 4 monitor setup once using USB video cards

I use alt+tab. It's not very impressive, but it saves lots of power, money, and space.

@jacob

I actually have 3 video cards. The main 26" and the one above it are on the GTX 550 TI, as they are the two monitors used for any gaming. The rest are on a 8600 gts and 8500 gt. I still can put one more screen on, and then on top of that put another video card in. *loves his motherboard* ;)

@cyparagon

Yeah, I probably should do that. I do it on my laptop, anyway. But I put the second screen on my desktop and caught the multi monitor fever. And once you catch that, you can't stop.

No IT No, I use 2 want a 3rd, but 3 cards, and 5 screens are overboard, al though I have thought of what it would be like to have a 12 monitor setup, 4 wide 3 high and have it be a partial semi-orb.

Two monitors for my music studio (horizontal span).
For video/media: I usually use a wireless keyboard and my 40" HDTV as the monitor at home. So, one very large monitor. :beer:

I run one 27" and one 19" at work:

At home I normally run two 27" monitors... but my brother "borrowed" one:can:

Eventually I'd like to setup 4 30" ips monitors, but for the time being two 27" ones do the job just fine.

Is that an antec 1200 I see:shhh:

What mobo do you use?

@Kmor I actually did something like that once with a bunch of projectors from school. I love projectors. ;)

@infinitus Yes, that is a 1200. I love it, its one of the most solid cases ever. Of course I glued a few led strips inside. Couldn't help it. :p

And the motherboard I have is the gigabyte x58a-u3dr. Four pci express x16 slots. :drool:

Thats a nice setup you have as well!

@arglaser I like that! I see you have the same issue as me with different sized monitors. Oh how I'd love to have 5 identical ones, lol

Yeah, I use my 1920x1080's in 1920x1050 when I game, doesn't end up looking that bad, but once you view text, it's awful.

Actually I was debating for a very long to myself whether I needed a full tower or not. Mid tower is doing the job for now, but I think next build I'm gonna have to upgrade to the 1200.

Actually went over all my current computer specs last night:p

Wow, you have a very similar build to me.

I have an i7 960, 12gb corsair ram, the antec 1200, ga-x58a-u3dr motherboard, a 250gb, 200, 500, 1tb, 2x 1.5tb, and a 120gb ssd drives, and for video its a gtx 550ti, 8600 gt-s and 8500 gt. Those are for MOAR SCREENS.

I'm quite happy with this build. So many fans.. ;)
