Radeon x1950 was a high end when it was out, but I dunno how well it fares compared to today.

8800GT and GTS cards are still reasonably good at DX9 games (Oblivion will run nicely on 8800 series),

But your processor is giving you a bottleneck. You must upgrade that, otherwise the potential of 8800GT card will be unused since processor cannot feed it the amount of data which it would otherwise be able to process.

But my honest reccomendation, is same up a little bit more, you can get a very decent gaming grade computer for 3000 HRK no problems.

That's the point.I'm 15 and I don't have a very large budget.But I'll manage something.I think I'll buy the 8800gt,and later (for Christmas hehe) buy a dual-core cpu and a gig of RAM.And a new laser of course! :)

That's it,I'm buying a 8800GT XFX Alpha Dog edition in the next couple of weeks! :))

At what price? 8800GT is alright, but not that new anymore.

It's not a ripoff,I'm gonna spend a little more on that (500HRK-67EUR) :)
And of course I 'll have to upgrade my CPU,but that isn't possible ATM.More RAM will be ideal for me.

500kn for 8800GT? Not too bad I guess.

Just don't expect some miracles out of it :D

Everything computer-related is 2x price in Croatia :p

But yeah, it may be a smarter thing to order a second hand card off the internet.

It's a miracle for me because I have the worst PC ever and it has a integrated Nvidia and a single core Sempron.Everything I played with no lag was Half-Life series.

I know I can buy a second handed GPU,but I can't risk and I don't have a credit card so no I can't order :)

And I think I will buy a second hand CPU when I get some money again.
