I'm sure its in the user agreement that nobody reads. Now I just need to figure out how to get rid of it.

Its not going to be in any agreement since it has nothing to do with the service carrier of the phone. The carriers keep their own records that they get from your phone's communication with the network, which can be used to triagulate your whereabouts, anyway. Nothing is transmitted in regard to that information the phone stores, though. It is a function of the device and stored locally. Kind of like using a computer where it stores information about what files you have opened or websites you have visiting. In that case, however, the programmers have kindly made it possible for you to erase that information. Apple, on the other hand, seems to have programmed this function, but not made the consumer aware or given any way to remove this information, which is rather shady, but not likely illegal in any way.

I don't like the Iphone, I like my droid. With Apple tracking people goes me even more reason not to get one. As far as AT&T goes, I dropped them because they kept trying to screw me every month even with "EXIT ONLY" tattooed on my ass!

If your phone is jailbroken then there is a cydia tweak that gets rid of it. Apple is supposed to do something about it in 4.3.3 too.

I don't know why everyone cares so much anyway. Has anyone stolen your iphone before to track your every move? Probably not... Get over yourselves people... You arent that important. ;)Seems like just another reason for people to try to bash Apple.

Oh and by the way...

Thanks!
I have been working a lot of hours about 60 to 70 a week, when I get home I usually just make something to eat, do paper work, shower and go to bed. I only worked 58 hrs this week, so I had a little extra time to pop in and see what is happening.

Its just another piece of your privacy given away for the taking, and Apple said nothing about it. And you dont want to blame Apple? I think you are the basher, sir, just for the wrong team.

When a persons privacy is given away there is suppose to be notification.

And dont say "I have nothing to hide". Everyone has the right to privacy. What if there was a security camera in the bathroom stall at your work. You're doing nothing wrong, but I'd expect most people would not like it. Why? Because we all have something we want to keep private regardless if its bad or not.
