Do you think they will ever isolate a visable amount of Francium? The most they got was around 10000 atoms. It's the second rarest element, and at any given time, there is around 20-30 grams of it in the Earth's crust. [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyFLvSg6ZDw[/media]

Propably not with a half life of less than 30 minutes. I think there would be more chance of seeing the rarest element Astatine cos atleast it's half life is 8 hours.
That francium would be so explosive! You don't even need much caesium for a big bang.

I think that they will eventually, just not anywhere in the near future. They will most likely find a way to create francium as a decomposition product of a higher, manmade radioactive isotope.

The most stable isotope has a half-life of 22 minutes.
