Hey guys!

Just wonderwonderiing how many of you laser enthusiasts bought the game and actually play it. How do you like it? I bought the game when it came out and got lucky that someone brought a game back because the store would have been sold out. I like the game ALOT.

Maybe you guys wanna swap battletags with eachother or something

I haven't played mine in like 2 days or so , but I'm gonna play it now. I'll message you guys my battle tag since I'm paranoid about getting hacked if i post it publicly. Overall I love the game , moreso than diablo II.

My battle tag is jeff#1212

If you add me be sure to leave a message with your request telling me who you are. I don't want Chinese gold farmers sending me friend requests to spam me.

I'm not paranoid of hackers because my account is safe. I'm not going to challenge anyone to it but if you manage to do it good for you. Its only a game :p

It seems there was a way to hack anyone who just joins a public game so becareful of that. If any of you need help in normal just let me know. My level 33 Barb is already in nightmare.

I can confirm this, I got hacked and lost every item and all my gold on all my characters.
I had to have my account rolled back (can only do 2, EVER, sigh) and now I require a random authentication number (generated by an app on my phone) to log in.

Other than that... DIII is amazing. I love it. I played it nonstop with a buddy of mine up until Act II of Hell mode. I have a lvl 52 wizard and 33/34 barbarian.

wheedy#1115, hit me up!

that is interesting... maybe i should get it too! I have Diablo 1, Diablo 1 Hell Fire,
Diablo 2, and it's Expansion set...

Didn't get D3 because of time, and my friend keep telling me the graphic is not impressive because it's perspective is also locked like D2, anyway, I will check on it again....

Anyone know if it's possible to order it over steam?

I put a bit over 150hrs into D3 and really enjoyed everything up until Inferno mode. Overall the game is fantastic from lvl1 right through when you kill Diablo in Act4 Hell mode. I enjoyed every second of that, but the endgame experience left a foul taste in my mouth.

Inferno; it isn't about increased difficulty, it is a series of gear-checks, and nothing more. Your luck with drops in Hell mode and amount of gold earnable per hour directly determines how well you will function in Inferno. I played through A3 Hell with a good friend, and we enjoyed everything, but neither of us had a single useable item drop that was an upgrade to what we were already using - since level one. We had to buy every single piece of gear we wore off the auction house. We both played Wizards and the only stat/item combos we saw were Str ranged weapons (useless to every class), Dex barb/WD gear (unwanted by both classes), and generic gear with terrible stat rolls and useless affixes for the level it was useable (ex: 150dps weapons at lvl 55+). So, not only did we not find anything usefull, we didn't find anything we could sell either. The end result was we hit 60/inferno with lvl45ish gear and about 175k gold in bank (mediocre amount and undergeared). I spent about 48hrs farming A3-4 Hell mode and made about 45-60k/hr gold, but still did not find anything sellable on the AH.

The average price for level 60 gear of a quality level to be usefull in the first Act of Inferno was 1million gold at the time I started seriously farming for gold. After earning about 5.5million gold using gold-find gear and doing mind numbingly boring clay pot breaking runs (150-190k/hr) I was able to upgrade my gear enough to finish Act 1 Inferno. it was rough but certainly doable if you were on your toes and precise about your strategies and execution.

I started Act 2 Inferno and found myself 2 shot by the first spawn of normal mobs (Lacuni right outside of Caldeum). With 200 to all resists and over 50k HP and around 15k DPS I could barely clear a normal pack of mobs even when graveyard zerging. I went back to clay pot farming and doing A1 5NV runs of the Butcher and Skeleton King. I wasn't making very much money with the 5NV boss runs, maybe 45k/hr tops, and no useable drops were dropping (it is only a 2% chance with 5NV to get a lvl60 rare when in A1 Inferno) but I kept at it for dozens of hours. I then went back to clay pot farming and made another 2million gold, this time it felt like less gold was dropping, and there was talk of a slight nerf. I bought a nice 1250DPS 2h axe and some resist/int jewelry which upped my stats to 30k HP, 500 all resist, 25k DPS. I was able to clear nearly all the A1 elite/champ packs without much issue and soloing the bosses was certainly easier. Still unable to progress in Act2 without constantly dieing and relying on GY zerging I felt demoralized.

Then the price increases hit... average lvl60 quality item price increased to 5million gold a piece. The next day it was over 10million for quality weapons, especially one handers which Wiz normally rely/thrive on. I don't mind the 2H playstyle but the devs clearly stated that endgame wizard is designed with a fast 1h to aide in kiting.

I stopped playing shortly after that when they made it so you couldn't farm clay pots anymore. The 50k/hr gold I can earn while doing legit content runs doesn't compare to the average price of items available. You would have to farm for 100 hours just to make enough money for a single upgrade. People are buying gold from offshore merchants who dupe gold and items as well as hack accounts and steal players' gold. This inflates the gold auction house's price point to the point that people who do not buy gold cannot compete/partake.

The RMAH was released soon after and quickly prices on lvl60 quality items shot up to a minimum of $50 per item. Yes, you read that right, FIFTY DOLLARS USD for an in game item of Act 2 Inferno quality. Now with the prospect of making real world money on an item there is no more incentive to put quality gear on the Gold auction house. Inferno gear is only showing up on the gold AH with insane prices of >10million each. You can find tons of it on the RMAH for $50 though.

So, I'm done with D3 now. If they release an xpac with Necromancer as a playable class, I might play it again and level up to 60 with one, but I doubt I'd go further.

The new patch made it a bit easier though repair cost are gonna have folks complaining now, anyone wants to add me as a friend shoot me a pm I don't want to spam my info on a public forum :p esp since bliz has real money changing hands with this one, I bet hackers are going to have a field day.

I have a 60 monk in act 3 and a wizard at the end of act 2. I do all my farming in act one for now. I like a challenge but I like to play with others and easy is better if others are with you.

I think I have to turn in my "Gamer" status. I have had DIII practically since it came out, but STILL haven't gotten around to playing it.

Don't rush into it, it's fun and you'll get hooked. UNTIL you finish inferno and get bored of doing everything over and over again! Pvp is out soon, let's hope this helps.

Wait, PvP is still not out? That was my absolute favorite part of D1 and DII...

I spent countless hours in both, and in d2 especially, making perfect killers... had a paladin that could literally kill before another player could react. I found every bit of armor, rings, upgraded vigor aura, and charge to the absolute max, end result was that I could outrun anyone I would play against. Only people I still had trouble with were barbarians, with their damn lances, and necromances with the iron maiden(?) spell active. The other classes were basically dead, and only survived if they ran to town fast enough, or portaled out. The sorceress characters had it the worst imo.

Of course than blizzard made another patch, and destroyed my speed advantage  I basically stopped playing after that.

I used to run a bot on D2 and sell the items for gold on d2jsp, but I haven't done so in weeks!

Heh, I had no need for bots... I was kind of bad when it came to cheating back then... and had several accounts banned altogether. They really cracked down on cheating with the new games, which is a plus and a minus imo.

(For single player I LIKE cheating. GTA for example... I love cheating in GTA :eg:)
