Hey guys, on DX I noticed lots of Chinese android tablets. Im thinking about buying one. A lot of them, the reviews say the touch screen sucks. I want one with a good touch screen. Anyone know any other good website than DX? I was thinking about these two:

1080P 7" Multi-Touch Screen Google Android 2.2 Tablet PC w/ WiFi/HDMI/Camera/TF/USB (Cortex-A8 1GHz) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme

7" Capacitive LCD Dual-Core Android 2.2 Tablet PC w/ Camera/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/HDMI (4GB/Cortex A9) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme

You could try and snag a playbook on sale if you can find one...

I think they are working to get droid running on them and the hardware is pretty nice...
There's also the Kindle Fire or whatever... At least you know you are getting quality parts that way and they are not much more expensive than those Chinese craps.

I got a Kindle fire for Christmas. It's really nice and it can be modified to run ice cream sandwitch. Touchscreen is nice and I have no cons yet besides having no camera. It's not chinese crap and it's only $199 USD

Youtube is awesome and works great, Web is good also, it's called silk and it is sped up with Amazon's server. I highly recommend. I have it in my hand right now :)
EDIT:
I forgot to add, it has a custom amazon appstore that is nice. Has all those games and stuff.

I got a playbook because the Fire isn't really supported in Canada (because Amazon hates Canada) and the hardware is a lot better. It has been hacked already and I am expecting them to figure out how to make it run droid directly in the next few months :p

Anyway I am sure the Fire is a much better choice than any of those craplets DX is selling.

To tell you the truth, I like the playbook more than the Kindle. I just thought it was more expensive, but its almost the same. I might still get one from DX just for android and to try it. But if the DX one looks like crap Ill probably be getting a playbook or Kindle. My friend bought the one I wanted from DX, so I will see how it turns out.

Ah well let your friend be the guneapig. If it's any good go for it.. but they aren't exactly cheap at DX... The Kindle and the PB were the same price when the sale was on... And some places are still selling the 16gb PB for $199. If you can't get it or really want droid now the Fire is definitely a good choice.

You can see all the stuff they left off the Kindle on the teardown on ifixit. But other than 4 or 5 things (battery, ram, flash, buttons, cameras) they are the same hardware with different software.

The reason people are probably saying the touchscreens are crap is because most of the cheap ones only use resistive screens. This means you've actually got to apply a small bit of pressure to the screen to trigger it, and you can't use more than 1 finger on the screen at the same time (No pinch to zoom etc).

I like the Fire myself, but I'm not saying the Playbook is bad. It looks pretty good if you ask me but I like my Fire.

Yep exactly. The ones with a resistive screen everyone says they suck. The ones with a Captivate screen, everyone says the screen is nice. Both of the ones in my link have a captivate screen.

I have the playbook and its the best 7" pad ive used, multitasking is a breeze thanks to its hardware, and if people figure out how to run android, that'll be amazing. Dont forget it has HD front & rear cameras!.
