Guess i have been under a rock-- not a new thing (except to me)--They alter electronics -mostly musical toys, keyboards, voicewarpers etc. and come up with some very interesting results --check this one out--the seller says it WILL work just fine with a BR pointer too. an Ebay search will show many more from slap et al.

Uhm, sorry, i'm not sure about what you are asking ..... do you need schematic diagrams for build a "classic" theremin, or a device like the one in the link ? ..... or you mean if someone have something similar at home ?

BTW, the keyboard in the second link is really nothing special ..... you can build something similar with a standard little toy keyboard, placing a pair of potentiometers on the oscillator stage, and hooking the output to an 1-second full echo circuit ;) :)

I ask to know if any LPFers are also into making bent circuit devices.--it looked like the kind of activity that laser hobbiests would enjoy.

You give my too much credit on my ability to make bent circuits. Looks/sounds special to me. I have no time to learn how to do it.---hak

Oh, understood ..... i made a theremin in the past, the classic version ..... and some "strange" circuits and audio effects, for friends that play in small bands (mainly, the usual "bunch-of-guitar-effects" in a box :p) ..... and a synthesizer too .....

Not actually, anyway, i have no time, but i'm sure i still have some tons of schematics, (probably half eatened from mices :p), hidden somewhere :D

ROTFL

i think he meant "bending waves", as someone in the past had called theremin and other "variable tones" musical instruments .....

Or, maybe, from where the original "sound" like the theremin one was come ..... "playing" a wood saw with a violin arc, when you keep it "bent" and changing the sounds bending and stretching it more ..... :p

..... just as example, there's much better :p :D

New one on me too. Did you look at the links in OP?? apparently your def., of bent circuit is like mine- outdated...:D--

check the completed ebay listings for more examples- they sell the 'bent' (altered) stuff for several times the orig. cost. They change the circuits, add jacks for amp, LEDs, ETC., and sometimes lasers.

Slapstix says he is two months behind on custom order builds. IIRC he is also know as Dr.Frankenspeak.
IMO, with their skillz, circuit benders would be 'naturals' for the laser hobby. Certainly no strangers to the soldering gun.====hak

Thanks for clearing that up for me guys...
looks like Webster's will need to add a new meaning
to the word Bent....
I like Changed... Modified... Altered... Re-Engineered... Etc.
It's not like we ran out of words....

Speaking of wording....

2 buddies are talking....
Hey I hear you got a new Job... what do you do ??
I work at the pantyhose factory as a dieselfitter...
Why would they need a Diesel Fitter in a pantyhose factory??? What exactly
do you do..???

I stand at the end of the production line... and when a finshed pantyhose
reaches me.. I hold it up to the light and yell "yup diesel-fit-her"
.....

Yeah... Yeah.... I know it's lame....

speaking of pantyhose.... two idiots plan to rob the bank(hopefully NOT the one across the street from the donut shop{ officer says to me--what is wrong with your eyes? have you been drinking?? I say what is wrong with yours---they look glazed-- have you been eating donuts?})

Idiot One is supposed to get stockings to wear as masks.
Idiot two is supposed to get a gun--

They end up with a pair of pantyhose, so they have to stay very close to each other and a plastic gun with an orange tip-- It goes from a stick-up to a f**k-up from there.
