No, but I have an eeprom programmer, and if you know how to desolder the flash chip you can flash it directly... Do you know what type of chip it is? Is it TSOP40 shaped?

it would be cheaper and BETTER to get a new router.. get one that has N compatability

Naw, you can do cool things with WRT54G's.. They run linux, so they're basically a tiny 233mHz computer with like a 4mb hard drive and 8mb of ram or something. I set mine up one time to check my email address for a secret word every minute, and any time I emailed myself that secret word it would send out a signal to all the computers in my house to turn on if they were off. That way, if I was at work or a friends house and I wanted to download something off my home computer, I could turn it on if it was off, simply pressing a button on my cellphone.

It was actually pretty easy.. (Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but I figured I'd elaborate a bit) The linux packages etherreal or wakeonlan have simple command lines for waking up computers over the network, and OpenWRT includes the ipkg package managament system, (much like debian/ubuntu's "apt-get"), so it was really as simple as typing ipkg -i wakeonlan to install the package, then writing a simple telnet script to log into gmail's pop server, download the inbox listing, spit it out to a file, then use grep to search that file for the magic word.. if found it simply ran wakeonlan. Pretty simple hack job, took about a half hour to figure out. I actually spent more time programming a button on my phone to send myself an email.

I also had it set up so when my roommates were downloading heavily it would light up a red light on the front of the router, and by pressing a spare button on the front of the router it would limit their speed down to half the available bandwidth.

The WRT54g series of routers are incredibly flexible and fun to hack.. I've seen mods where people hook usb hard drives up to them and install torrent clients so they don't need to leave their computers running to download.. Anything you need a tiny low powered linux computer for that's constantly connected to the internet, you can simply use your router.
