Thanks folks... it's not so bad when you have a stocked fireplace full of wood, stocked bar full of booze, several high powered lasers, fully charged batteries and nowhere to go for a few days :beer:
Hey guys. The last few hours as it was closing in on the coast did not look good, however in the last hour 2 it took a fairly sharp turn SW and crossed a fair bit further South of me (150km ish), so I avoided the eye luckily. Managed to make it through without loosing power OR internet (Although the power was continually flickering and dropping out. I stood out on the patio for majority of it, powerlines arcing everywhere, it was quite pretty up until 11:30.
By that point, the scariest wind gusts I've ever heard came rushing down the valley, so I headed inside. About 10 minute later, we got a wind gust that literally blew the front door in.
Luckily thats all the damage (Along with some fairly stripped trees) we got here. Internet went out Yesterday and only got it back an hour or so ago.
