That's not cold Dave, it's typical of any forum.
One life altering event can change things a lot.
A loss in the family, fired from job, divorce, computer crash, etc.. and suddenly logging on to a forum goes to the very bottom of things to do today lists.
I used to email people when they were inactive on my forum, but it never changed anything so I just leave it alone now..
Hell one of my moderators has not logged on in over a month, whatever her issue is, I figure if she wanted me to know, she would tell me, she even has my phone number.

The only reason I'm here so much is 'cause my back is broke. Pain, meds, twisted brain cells, depression kind of dictate my mood. When I get my back fixed I'm sure you guys will miss me LOL. You'll have no one to talk about :na:. Well...not in the degree I inspire LOL.
