They went away for awhile. Someone's posted that they're working again. You may have to set yup your notifications again.

Peace,
dave

I'm still finding that PM notifications aren't going through. I checked my settings and it's set to "Yes" and my email works (hotmail) so I don't know whats up...

just FYI

there must be something wrong with your email or spam filters, it seems to be working for everyone else

it was working for another user with hotmail. i checked the server logs and there are no returned mail errors or such. i am 99% sure everything is ok on this side.

are you using hotmail via the web or a pop3 client?

Does anyone know how I can make the topic notifications for every topic I reply to?

I'm having problems with this too. (we need a hair-pulling smiley)

For any given topic, I will sometimes get notified and sometimes it gets cut off - no more notifications until I post or something.

It is definitely not my mail or filters, and the following demonstrates that:

- I just checked the Kryton laser barrel thread; I've been "on notice" there for years , umm, months. I had not gotten a notice even though there were 2 or 3 new posts.
So I went to the [sub]
notify.png
[/sub] button, and lo and behold, it said: "Do you want a notification Email...?"
whereas, if I was getting notification already it would have said, "Would you like to deactivate Notification on this topic?" So something reset that flag.

That indicates that the problem is definitely on the LPF side.  The only way it could have been on this end, is if my browser had gone renegade and found that button, followed the link and selected the option to turn them off.  ::)

I feel a bit bad 'proving' this... I don't want to cause you any more work, especially the intermittent-software kind!
But there it is.

Hi Danq,

That is really odd the flag was reset. I'm looking into this now. I just tried setting notification to this topic and it worked fine but the flag being reset is very weird.

Sorry for the inconvenience this is causing, I'm doing my best to find a solution.

Regards,

-Avery

Hi VCW, I don't think it is possible to automatically set notifications for all topics replied to. I think this needs to be done manually.
