Suggestion: first post

So I was wondering how many members this forum has so I clicked on the members link and there seems to be several hundred with no posts and I'm wondering... if someone were just lurking they could do so as a guest, so are these all just spambots?

Maybe make a mandatory 1st post to activate/validate the account? Could be just a generic greeting like:

Real Name (optional) = Ken

Where are you? = Lumberton NJ USA

How did you find this forum? = random search, liked that is wasn't run by a seller

Lasers owned = none currently, had several toy reds at one time or another, some greens on order

yeah, there are tons of spam bots.. deleting members is a bit tedious, especially b/c i don't want to accidently delete real people

i plan on working today to delete some of the members that i know for sure are spam bots

the spam has stopped every since i made a modification so that you need 20 posts to post a link, but spam bots still register
