I've been away for a while and came back to find the general forum half full of deleted spam. I think moderating new members would be a good way to keep these threads from even showing up, so we don't get left with long lists of deleted threads. Or is there a way to delete the deleted thread titles in the lists?

Yes , would be nice if all of the deleted SPAM and/or troll post listings as "thread deleted , spam" in the general forum list can be removed entirely at the "super moderator" level.
Would guess if it could be done evidence of those posts would be gone already as it doesn't look good to have all that there especially to new members or thse thinking to join.

Is a good idea though--maybe one of the moderators will comment as to if it can be done.

The option to have those posts permanently removed isn't available to us moderators anymore. I used to completely remove SPAM posts but now the only thing we can do is just mark them as "deleted" which fills up the forums.

Yes before it was different--thought that it couldn't be done at the super moderator level now/anymore--thanks for the clarification.

Maybe once in a blue moon "coldshadow" can/will dump them if the program allows at his level.

Thanks.

If the option was avillable previously then it is
a doable option.

Can't see why the administrator would want to
have the forum look like a trash heap with all
those deleted spam Threads

For potential new members seeing that, it can
seem there is no control here at LPF and is
overrun by Spammers.:cryyy:

It is worth enquiring with Avery to see if you mods can permanently delete those thread again. As Jerry said, we don't want to appear overrun. Plus it just makes sense for the mods to be able to do it.
