Slipstream = Arenared

Just wanted to give you all a heads up that Slipstream = Arenared. For those of you that have been here for a while, Arenared was permabanned by Avery a while back. I asked Simon to do an IP check and while the IP's do not exactly match, they are VERY similar and both tie into the LA area Road Runner ISP.

Here is the info for Slipstream:

The IP Address is: 76.168.7.xxx
The host name is: cpe-76-168-7-xxx.socal.res.rr.com

And here is the info for arenared:

The IP Address is: 76.170.207.xxx
The host name is: cpe-76-170-207-xxx.socal.res.rr.com

So, we have two people, that both act the exact same way that both live in the same area. Coincidence? I think not. Louis, the gig's up.

IIRC Arenared's ban was only for 3 months, not permanent. That three months is long over now.

Now if this is him "sneaking" back in before his three months were up, c0ld will have to make a decision on it.

He did came back after the months was gone, but he was insta-rebanned, permanently I think.

So are you suggesting Arenared moved to another part of town just to come back here? I find that highly unlikely.
Arenared and his IP's were permabanned when he came back from his 3 month ban due to sneaking in and harassing from other accounts during his ban. Slipstream has been here during that period, seemingly completely unaffected by the bans.

If it is Arena sneaking back in, he is making one hell of a good job blurring any evidence.. and doing something which requires above minimal brain function does not sound like Arena.

Are you sure you aren't letting personal issues with Slipstream make you draw more conclusions than you should?

Yeah... MFO may not be a hands on Builder or Test Lab experimenter...
But he has contributed to the Forum community in the past...

On the other hand he does seem to jump on the "Ban XXXX" wagon a
bit too quick...
Then again we all (barring a few) love our Forum Troll T_J....

As to Slipstream being Arenared.... I have no clue.
To date...he hasn't been an obnoxious A$$ like Arenared was.
And if it is Arenared... then he has changed his ways....
which is basically the idea of a Ban.....IMO

Uhm ..... not sure, cause the laws can be different, but maybe c0ld, as forum owner, can ask the ISP if these two IPs, with their timestamps, came from the same address, for security purpose .....

I mean, here, the ISP don't say you anything, if not with a court order, and probably also there they reject to say you details like name or address ..... but is always possible that, asking only to know if the two IPs, at these different timestamps, come from the same address, or from 2 different ones, they may reply, having to say only yes or no, without disclose any personal details ..... just an idea, as i've said, it depend from local laws (that i don't know), if it work or not ....
