Any safari users having a issue using the back button on LPF?
I get this message every time I hit the back button. It does it on every LPF page. Tried all 3 macs at home?

Are you sure you want to send a form again?
To reopen this page Safari must resend a form. This might result in duplicate purchases, comments, or other actions.

Safari was just updated last week to 5.1.2
This is when It first started. Safari seems to work fine on other forums?
Firefox works fine so this is just a safari/LPF issue.

I was getting an "are you sure you want to sendthis form again message" in Safari when I was hitting the back button a while ago. The Search bar is also taking a very long time to load.

unfortunately i can't really do anything regarding the performance of the search bar as that is hosted by third party=(

seems to be loading fine on my end

if it appears to be tied to the search bar i could try temporarily removing it, but my guess is that the issue with third party should be fixed soon if it is on their end

Yes I tried this and on both my macs. I tried several forums last night. seems to be only happening here at LPF. It should only do it on a pages where I'm posting. However it does it on all LPF pages?

I know safari on mac only accounts for a small population on LPF. Hopefully someone else will chime in If they to are experiencing it.
Safari 5.1.2 on 10.6.8

If it was a widespread issue with last weeks 5.1.2 safari update and vbulitin.
I would see some google activity by now. It may be a smaller issue with just a LPF vbuliten setting or a issue on my end?

I noticed LPF did have some issues with the backbutton last week on the IE browser end. I wonder if your fix for that did something that now affects safari??

It may have something to do with the our search bar issue? Safari might be seeing it as a place where text was entered?
The dang search bar is sooo BIG it stretches across the whole screen on safari

I haven't had this problem and I'm running Safari 5.1.2 on OSX. I did miss the search bar for a couple days, then it came back bigger and better

??? Ok thanks then it's probably me??
Are you running 10.6 or 10.7?

I reset safari deleting all cache, cookies, even flushed my dns cache in OSX.
I'll try some other stuff.

Ok thanks for chiming in guys. I'm convinced it's related to the search bar issue.
Hopefully it gets squared away soon.

b/c the search bar is hosted by google, i don't really have any control over how it behaves.

it seems like a bug in the browser perhaps after an update.

if you guys disagree please let me know, but i'm guessing most would agree the search bar is useful enough that it is not worth disabling it b/c of potential issue with back button ?

What happened to the old search bar, the one that used to appear in the upper left of the screen? This new search bar is huge, goes across the whole screen.
I guess no excuses for not using it;)
I'm positive that the safari issue is related. I also noticed that search bar is also taking forever to load..

I'll just have to use a different browser on LPF.
I know Safari is sometimes laughed at but it sure is a snappy little browser.
I like webkit based browsers. I might try google's chrome again. I just don't like the auto update engine that is installed along with it.

Ok so I just installed adblock for safari and used it to block the BIG search bar

attachment.php

It solved the problem with the back button.
However after using chrome for 2 days I'm kinda liking it?

As far as the search bar goes why do we have it so big?
Even using firefox it takes a long time for the search bar to finish loading?

Also the jump to last post button now works instantly in safari again.
I also allowed or unchecked the preloaded list of ads in adblock. Meaning adblock loads all adds including the ones on the bottom. The only thing it's stoping is the search bar from loading.
So it has nothing to do with the ads just that search bar.

Isn't a Safari something you do in the Kalahari, or do you do it in the Congo
