Every once in a while a review will pop up in the reviews section with someone saying "I just ordered from XYZ, I'll update you on the tracking info and do a review when I've got it!"

In my opinion, these reviews are useless as often the OP doesn't come back to review the laser after (s)he got it. Should there be a rule implemented that you can't review something until you actually have it in hand?

Agree
Simply, make a review thread when <<you>> will receive the laser/product !

Jim

That's because the members that do that are like puppies
that pee themselves when they get excited...

They want to let everyone know how excited they they
are about their new "thingamajig" before it arrives...

I agree... if you don't have a complete review to post
then wait until you do before you open a Thread in the
REVIEW section...

Jerry

That or someone sent them something to review and they post a pre-review as "good intent".

It's called the Review section..... not the Pre-Review section...
If you have a review.... by all means Post it.
If you don't have a review... then wait until you do..

Jerry

Like jerry said. They are so exited that they can't hold in and want to let know everybody that. I don't bordered it much. I just need 0.1 sec to click on other topics.

LMAO'd

Or if they are going to open a thread before the item has come in, the member should review the customer service/checkout/website functionality.

But I agree... People should calm down and actually wait for it to arrive.

The worst is when they don't even mention what they ordered.... *cough* Tman *cough*

I think I did that once. :shhh: Just too exited about the order. :D Yeah, it would be better to wait until something actually arrived though.

Maybe the people who make these pre-reviews are the kind of people who update their myspace profile all the time with their current mood and other inane details of their "lives," thinking they actually have an audience that is on the edge of their seats waiting for news updates.

"New update guys! The package is now in CHICAGO! Current mood: impatient!"

Yeah... like it adds value to my life....

If I was their "Mommy"... maybe. :eg:

That's exactly what I was thinking after another guy posted a work in progress review thread

Refer to the second "Don't".

I didn't know the issue was brought up already. Didn't visit this section on a regular basis until recently:p

Yup... They really are a waste of space. Ideally this would be made a rule so those threads can be deleted and stop taking up space.
