<a name=""> functionality?

Is there any way to set a label somewhere in the body of a post and make a jump-to link for it?

I'd like to make some tutorials, and eventually make a big compilation of the existing how-to's, but without the ability to make an index, it's kinda a lot for newbies to digest, having to read the whole ginormous post to get at the info they're looking for. This is a bit of a problem with the existing stickies.

Err, another thing I just realized is that old links in the stickies totally don't work.

That last mod you installed to change the urls into human readable words seems to have completely broken this sticky: http://laserpointerforums.com/f51/compiled-list-tutorials-36820.html

<a name> functionality would be great but i dont think its possible b/c HTML needs to be disabled for security reasons. sorry about the link changes, this is the last time they will be changed.

i do have an idea though

make a thread of like 8 posts... then in the first post in the thread like to each of the next 7 posts ( so each posts is for a new section)

in first post say u are reserving the thread so noone interups
