....for members who have less than IDK 30 posts perhaps. I know post count isn't related to maturity but it's getting annoying trying to filter through all the crap over there and find information. It's just bunch of heated arguing over how the new 445nm diode is going to kill the hobby. Every time I look there are a few new thread about the stupid Arctic or how the gov't is going to shut down the boards and blah blah blah...

I'm not against the discussion, not at all, but can someone approve the threads before they're posted?

This post shouln"t have been approved, therefore i agree with you. lol

There is a search button, new members should learn how to use it.

How about this, OP has been a member for 20 months so 587post by the OP / 20 months = 29.35 posts per month (give or take)

So if a member makes more than 30 posts per month, they can start new threads, those who only post 29x per month or less are S.O.L

I can live with that.

That encourages spaming to keep your post count up

And yet we both know that doesn't happen.

Where is the logic in that? You'd have the post whores start any thread they want? That makes perfect sense. You're the kind of member that makes this necessary. You illustrate my point, thank you.

Almost every other forum I've ever been on has moderator approved threads for new members. It can only help, never hurt.

I was trying to figure where you got your "30 post" idea from, well that and was merely complimenting this pointless thread with a pointless post.

You can try what I do, by taking a break from the forum for a few days at a time...

I guarantee that if you come back after 3 days, you won't care anymore.

Haha! You're right.
I just want to get my DIYs done and then I'm set. I spend too much time on my computer anyways.
