I keep seeing members that join up just to sell a laser. As a membership we always jump on the thread, and give out the warnings, ect. Sometimes this goes good, sometimes bad. Its very frustrating trying to find out if they are legit or not. It often requires a lot of posts asking questions, making suggestions, and assumptions. This often leads to miscommunications, bad judgments, hurt feelings, and general drama. Which, if the sale is real, totally kills the sale. It does work well if its a scam though.
My thought is to make it so the seller needs a certain amount of posts before they can sell. Like 50. This would eliminate the majority of the drama, give us a good clue what type of person they are, and detour any hit and run scammers. Also it would give us a break from having to repeat the same speal to every new seller that comes here.
Can this be done??
EDIT: On a financial note, it forces them to hang around the forum. Which could drum up business, and maybe get more people into the hobby.
