<edit: the app isn't avail yet b/c i'm waiting for apple to approve the next version> plesae check back on this thread for updates. hopefully they approve the next version of app soon

hey everyone.

for those of you that have iphones the first release of LPF Mobile is now available.

LPF Mobile v2 for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store

*** some background details, this is a vbulletin service ( https://www.vbulletin.com/mobile/ ) which allows forum owners to create their own apps. please report any bugs directly to vbulletin (not to me) as i don't need to be a middle-man:

vBulletin JIRA - Log in

****

i have already reported a few bugs. to report bugs please register on that page above

getting this thing to work has taken over a month of effort. when vbulletin releases new versions i will need to recompile the app, submit to apple again for approval , etc.

please send any feedback directly to vbulletin; u can post it here as well but also please post to vbulletin directly. over time the app should probably get better as vbulletin fixes bugs / adds new features / etc.

i hope this turns out to be worth all the effort i put in (e.g. it is easier to use than just viewing the forum regularly on your iphone)

take care
best regards

to be honest i think it is good they approve stuff manually b/c it helps prevent malware apps. however at the same time it's really annoying having to wait lol

I agree, but I have had apps rejected because
Apps that are not very useful, are simply web sites bundled as apps, or do not provide any lasting entertainment value may be rejected

It was a mobile version of a website :-(

and its slow

thx for feedback all.

this version of the app just works on iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 3.1 or later

i will likely be making an android version, but first i want to just start out with this for testing.

When I open a post, it has a plus sign at the top. When I click it, it brings me to an entry page that has title AND subject. Will that respond to the post I'm in, or create a new thread in that section? Sorry just didn't expect to see "Title" available for a reply.

Also, are you going to eventually add the ability to use the app sideways?

i have no control over the code/ app functionality really.

this app is a service of vbulletin.

Just downloaded it and tried it out, it works great! Thanks so much! The regular site was really hard to navigate on my iPod Touch.

Thanks man. This should make things much better for me on the phone. Consider this reply my official first test
