jcranmer informed me that the title/body part is fine, just ignore the title part and it will reply (not create a new thread). So all seems to be fine.

This affect Android device and has been addressed 2 days ago.

Thanks jcase to bring this up few days ago as the latest update did fix the issue. This issue was immediately addressed few hours after you have posted it at XDA. However like you have said the fix only be effective if you applied the update AND access the forum again (a click to your favorite forum will do).

We plan to send out another update that will clear the old favorite, also if you follow our update we have also released the md5 supported version of the server-side plugin to strength it further more.

seems the problem was fixed and they also are working on ways to make it even more secure. from what i read the "fault" was actually in the way the android stores the info..

yes, it has resolved.

jcase who reported the issue helped confirm the issue fixed, please refer his post.

yah they shouldn't have stored passwords in plaintext tho=) thats really bad lol. they couldnt just take an extra 2 seconds to hash the passwords lol

if they are too lazy to hash the passwords i cant really trust the rest of their code

bad things like this can happen w/ plaintext

Sony hacked yet again, plaintext passwords, e-mails, DOB posted

lol you dont have to remind me of the security flaws sony has... im a ps3/psn user and had to cancel and get another debit card b/c of their slacking.. they could have saved themselves millions by securing their servers to begin with.. after all the are a major corporation with the funds to do it.

its funny how on their careers page, security is listed last

Sony Careers | Corporate Career Areas | Information Technology

its ironic how they list information security on the very bottom of the page above

they have application security opening now lol

nice app, but why does it have to be paid? :undecided:
also, the icon should have some sign of LPF on it (if that's possible) - if u want I can make one...

i have changed the app to be paid b/c i only made a few cents in the ads from it so far. the time required to get the thing working was at least 1-month, and costs were $250+ (buy from vbulletin, apple fees, etc.).

i will basically end up losing $200+ a year from this idea unless i charge something for it.

i think anyone else in my shoes would probably do the same thing given the above situation.

thx for your understanding
peace

cold,

You need to quit being so nice. Everybody appreciates it(maybe some don't) but, you can't over work yourself, lose money, or screw yourself over just for this site, and for us.

I personally think that you should be making some kind of profit from lpf.com if you are busting your ass for it.

$0.99 cents for the app, WELL worth it IMHO.

$5 a month to be a member of lpf.com, WELL worth it IMHO.

I think you should charge whatever you need to for anything.

IF people give you lip, especially about the banners, say SCREW you go to another laser pointer forums.

I can't believe people got that upset about the ads. WHO CARES.

Don't screw yourself for us.

LPF in great shape overall. profit is very good. want to get good ROI on this idea that's all=) . hopefully it should be mutual benefit (e.g. makes site better for u all on mobile, and i can get ROI on the implementation as well)

thx for the recognition of the effort put in=)

given that so far ppl like this iphone app alot, im working on getting a version working for android. hoping to have that done within next 4weeks or so.

peace
