hey guys, regarding the laser pro shop new section, if anyone disagrees about a sticky or thread in this section plz let me know or post a poll . if enough ppl think should be removed we can always do that=) whatever u guys think is best

I'm glad to see this got off the ground! I am going to say I do object to stickies in that section, they already have special rights to be in the section and none of the threads are more important than the other. The huge amount of stickies is why we brought up creating the Pro Shop in the first place. I'm not going to go on and on because I already spoke my opinion in the other thread, but I really don't think sales stickies should be in this section because every seller will want a sticky.

I completely agree with styroawesome, every thread should be un-stickied in the laser pro section.

I think that we still need the stickies. Someone like Jayrob keep there threads active and so on or near the top. Someone like Lasersbee, does not. The more expensive items like the Laserbee LPM would soon drop off the page (or sellers are going to have to do some consolidation or we break it into sub boards for seller and/or type of merchandise).

Would it be possible to put both b/s/t sections into one common folder? Just to try and bring down the size of the main forum index

This is a good idea, maybe the Deals and Discounts could go in that block too.

I think a poll is in order for the stickies, is it possible for you to add one to this thread or do we need a new thread?

Yeah... I think it would be easier to find a particular item if all the
same type of Items were grouped together is sub boards as Dave
suggested...

I think breaking it into sub boards by Seller would make it difficult for
a member to find an Item since he may not know all the different items
each seller has available for sale...

I got to thinking. Listing by seller wouldn't help the NooB's very much. For the NooB it would probably be best if they were arranged by "type." Here's off the top of my still sleeping head --

Electronics (drivers, LPM's, components)
Hosts and Full Kits
Heat Sinks
Accessories (goggles, focus rings, lenses)
Tools
Web Stores

Absolutely! However, it is also electronics :undecided:

Some of the threads will not be mutually exclusive. We will have to make some arbitrary decisions and/or double list some threads for this schema to work

It sure would make building a DIY Laser project a lot easier...

Since there is less than 1 page of threads in the Pro Shop Section, I think the stickies should be removed. Then the hottest threads would stay at the very top of the page.I also think that the B/S/T, the D and D (not dungeons and dragons) and the Pro Shop should be combined into one section. Great ideas guys.
