I don't know what laser I should get

Okay I admit, I am a newby in lasers and what not but that's not the point of this post. I'm looking for a handheld laser pointer that can burn green vegetation, (and no, not marijuana) and is inexpensive (under $35 if possible). Can someone please recommend a good laser, I have some background knowledge of wavelengths and stuff but that's nothing compared to this community forum. Any help is appreciated

Pleas Don't make duplicate threads. Edit your original if need be but this is the extant same thread as the other one you made but you added 15$ to your already unrealistic budget.

What is your purpose to burn vegetation? There is no way you will find a thirty five dollar laser you can mow the grass with or use like a machete.

You cant even get the proper safety glasses for 35 dollars, what kind of laser safety glasses do you own right now?

For anyone reading this ... don't use sunglasses (OR welding masks or anything like that), if anything they can make the chance of damage to your eyes higher.

jeez newbies these day....
wanting a cheap burning laser.
shouldn't use sunglasses as safety goggles.
or use cheap Chinese mass produce goggle.
use leds driver for laser to cut cost.
never read the sticky.

You have to be careful what you say, people who know very little about lasers may do a google search and get results from here and if taken out of context what you said "use sunglasses as safety goggles" could be mistaken if read out of context.

Or what you said in post #6 That could be taken the wrong way, not everyone knows better.

We have to be ambassadors of laser safety, even if it seems redundant or anal it's better than someone getting hurt.


Sunglasses will not protect your eyes from coherent light, even seemingly weak lasers can cause retinal damage because of the extreme energy density laser beams can produce.
That is, even when it's a small amount of energy it can be concentrated into a very small spot that can burn a hole through a persons retina causing blood from the brooks layer behind the thin retina to leak into the vicious humor and all they will see is a dark maroon muck, then the retina can detach and die or if the optic nerve is hit permanent blindness can happen, it's just not worth it.

Remember there is a lens in your eye that all light passes through focusing it into a tiny spot on your retina called the fovea, this is where the light sensing nerves are tightly packed and it is responsible for all our detailed vision, the rest is peripheral and not as detailed.

A laser strike can be devastating to eyesight so never wear sunglasses in place of proper laser safety glasses because they will not attenuate the wavelength of coherent light that you are working with when using a laser.
