Getting old pictures to show.

There have been a number of posters saying that they cannot see the pictures They have posted in threads, this is the way to do it, right click the photo icon, copy shortcut and paste that between image tags, in the "edit post" box.



there is the danger that people who have not had this problem will see 2 copies of the photo but if they complain tell them they are seeing double.

Thanks for the info rog8811. I had realized I could do that, but if I fix all my old posts and c0ld fixes it across the forum, then I will just have to go back and fix everything again because of the double image.

Also, this doesn't help me if I want to edit or delete the old atachments.

Good point....I have done it to 2 of my old threads so not too much work to change it back.

In my browser, none of yr pics on the first page are displaying inline (posts #1, #2, #4, #23, #24), but just links, and on the 2nd page, the pics for posts #29 & #32 also do not display inline, but only links.

Post #36, however, DOES show 1 pic (violet spirograph on wall).

And for lurkers, it appears that NONE of the pics show up. When I tried this, there were 1,018 ppl accessing this forum, 195 or which were members, and 823 of which were lurkers.

So, for over 80% of the ppl that were accessing this forum (not including ppl that are having the same prblm as I am seeing only one of yr pics), this trick does not appear to work.

I do think there is a solution to this, unfortunately it appears that this is not it.

On a positive note, I could see your pic in yr tutorial OK!

The post 36 one was posted under the new regime.... the rest were from before, it seems so wierd, according to c0ld he could see the images anyway, so I tried changing my browser settings with no luck..... this has to be sorted so that everyone can see pictures posted before the changeover.
