Flamewars/Polluting threads

there have been many complaints about flamewars polluting threads. i agree this is a bad thing, especially when a great thread is ruined by it.

no matter how big a problem with someone you have, this forum is not the place to express in in threads. this is NOT about being right or wrong about a person, but realizing that it ruins the atmosphere of the forum for others when threads are polluted with flames and fights.


i want to reiterate, no matter how much you like or dislike someone on the forum, it will now be against the rules to interact with these people on the site, if its going to be negative and ruin the experience of the site for others.

before you post, think how it will potential effect the experience of the site for others.

i will be away this weekend; i hope things clear up a bit. before i go im going to lock a few threads that have turned into fights

is there a "report bad post" addon for YABB? something like this would be an easy way to notify c0ld of threads that may need to be closed or have other moderation enforced

Not that it isn't a good idea, but I have a feeling that the "report post" button will at times end up with cOld being flooded with messages...

The new rule hopefully will work, and I am, as some of you know, obviously glad to see it. This forum will be a better place if no more happens such as what I am pretty sure caused cOld to make this rule..
