Is there a way to edit the thread title?
I went to "go advanced" but there was no option to change the thread title.

I was able to do that with the old version.

The only thing that still seems a bit flaky is what I PMed you about..

Another thing I just noticed while making this post.. when I hit the
[Post Quick Reply] button under the Quick Reply text box... I was
taken to a page that said I require at least 5 characters to post..

I then hit "Back" button in my Browser... then "Refresh" and clicked
the [Post Quick Reply] button again... then the post was accepted.

i wanted to do a search about 9mm diode but i can't :
when i type "9mm or 9 mm" it's telling that it's can't do the search coz "The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : 9mm
"
mhhhhh so i can't access to thread which talk about 9 mm diode... what should i do ?

i suppose that's it's impossible to add an option to choose the old site or the new one when we loggin?

Avery, to maintain an article on a DIY laser power meter project and others, I need to be able to edit the picture attachments in posts that were imported from the old LPF.

You can see one of the posts I am talking about here:
http://www.laserpointerforums.com/laser_pointer_forums_3/forum/showthread.php?p=512759

When I click the attachments paperclip icon in the advanced editor, I get the message: "Errors on page."

It DOES work to add an attachment to an old post that never had one. The new attachment works just as it does on a new post. There is only a problem with the old posts that already have an attachment.

BTW, If this editing problem could be fixed, it would allow the old pictures to display correctly and remove the need for this:

How to Fix Attached Pictures in Old Posts!
http://www.laserpointerforums.com/laser_pointer_forums_3/forum/showthread.php?p=521974

which is recommending that we link back to pictures in the OLD LPF. Not only does this not fix the problem of editing, but it is likely to cause you problems down the road. (I have years of experience as a Software Engineer developing server software for web applications, so I'm not clueless in this area.)

It really boils down to just one issue: can those attachments be deleted?

If they can, it fixes both problems. You just edit the post to add the attachement back in. Then the attachment will display properly.

BTW, it has been incorrectly said that the new attachments don't display properly and can't be viewed unless you are logged in. This is not true and is easily tested by anyone who doesn't believe this.

Thanks again for all the work you are doing on this, Avery. It is getting down to very few issues, and with many obvious benifits from the new software.

Just noticed that the font and size options are not working via the drop down lists during thread creation.

don't know if you turned them off or not but thought I would mention it just incase you didn't.
