Why does everyone hate him here, I want to know why he is a scammer.

He's been recently selling of HackForums.

I befriended him because I'm also a laser fanatic, but more of a web-developer.

So I made a website for him here

LaserMaster Laser Designs

He's selling lasers, he's already made a killing on the website and from HF, but why is he known as a scammer, should I keep doing the site for him for free, yes I'm doing this for free.

Although I would usually crack on somebody for creating 2 of the exact same threads, because you are doing it for background check purposes, I won't bite ;). Seriously though, he was selling some Army Shade glasses (I believe he said he picked them up for $18) And wanted to sell them for $40 as laser glasses despite not being able to measure actual resistance to different wavelengths. I will search for the thread.

The glasses. And where it says "Here it is blocking a 1.4w laser!", the picture showed the laser going RIGHT THROUGH the glasses, although not all of it, still enough to cause serious damage. Probably a lot more than 20mw. He removed it specifically so we couldn't use it against him as evidence.

I've only been using this forum for about a week or so, and by about day 2 I knew DarkArmyOfOne was a scammer. +1 for community awareness. :)

Definitely does. DAoO was a snake, makes sense he would pick a name like that besides if he "solidsnake" is a web-developer he should be smarter than asking questions like that. One would think you could do your own research and find all the proof you need.

Besides, solidsnake as made 2 threads about this and hasn't responded once in either one. I would also think a web-developer would know enough not to start 2 threads about the same thing.

I bet DAoO is sitting back right now laughing because he plugged his site on LPF

I call for the ban hammer on solidsnake :banned:

I am considering registering on that forum just to see how deep his influence on there is. I am sure he has occasional happy customers as its pretty damn easy to build a high power 445 but to know that if there is a problem you are dealing with a known scammer makes any transaction too risky. Do we need to start a DAOO at hackforums awareness movement? I think so.

That's part of the problem. People being too stupid to realize they are being scammed. I'm betting most of the guys that buy from him have never had a 445nm laser, and to them a 1-1.3W laser will look amazing, so when he says it's 2W+ they are stupid enough to believe him.

Just so you know the lasers he is selling are highly illegal. We had a seller here that had federal agents come to his home because he was selling fully functioning non FDA compliant lasers. If your running his website you better start collecting some fees so you can hire an attorney when his number is up and they find out you run the website trafficking illegal and dangerous lasers. :wtf:


EDIT: sorry for the double post everyone I came back to this thread and didnt realize I was last to post. If anyone actually cares I will merge them but hopefully this post will give him a notification with his subscription.
