I cant seem to follow links that have YaBB.pl in them. Such as
http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1185701612
Everytime, I try to access one of these links I get redirected to the homepage. I know this is related to the forum changeover that occured a few months back, but is there at least someway find the thread it was linking to?

Additionally, It seems that I cant access old forum posts in the "Blu-Ray & Violet Lasers" section of the forum. All the threads past page 31 seem to have no content in them, and the forum reports that they were all started in the 1970s.

Am I the only one having these problems?

All of the posts are still here, but you will have to find them with the search function...

One thing that could make it easier, is if you know who made the thread you are looking for. Because you can go to the member's profile, and see all threads that they have ever made...

The problem is that I dont know the title or author of most of the threads I'm getting links to. And while I do know the titles of old blu-ray posts, searching for them turns up nothing.

I agree; this has been very inconvenient. The old YaBB should be redirected to the actual threads on the new forum. Dumping the user to the home page isn't helpful at all.

unfortunately wasn't an easy thing to implement during the conversion process, and didn't want to risk corrupting existing data/threads. it was a tradeoff of upgrading but overall i think the benefits of vb far outweight the benefits of not upgrading

ROTFL ..... the next time you want to play "fake pedo posts" game, please don't take the pics from public dressing clothes catalogs for kids, LOL ..... there are less dressed ones on chicco and other similar kids swimsuit sellers :na:

EDIT: hell, sorry, i forgot the "don't feed the troll" rule, sorry ..... but that is looking SOOOOO stupid ..... :p
