Suddenly LPF added an extension (NNewSaver)to my firefox and this now pops out everytime I open an LPF page.

I removed the extension and this still pops out.

Anyone getting the same thing? I wasn't getting this before and it started just within today.

Did you get forwarded to another site just before this started? Just the last day or so when loading the home page laserpointerforums.com I have been forwarded to another site and got a warning that the site had malware or was a known phishing site and it tried twice to download something but my Norton internet security stopped it.

Well I am using Chrome and it happened several times, it seems to have stopped now. I also got a strange warning when loading laserpointerforums.com that said something like "This page has scripts from an unverified source". I think it was probably just a temporary problem from one of the ads but it did try to download something that was known to be unsafe. I wish I had got a screen shot of it but I didn't think to do so at the time.

i think this is probably related to spyware on your computer or something

as far as i know the ad networks LPF uses shouldn't ever have ads like this

never seen this before and would never intentionally push that type of ad

i would try running malwarebytes again and kaspersky
also might want to try tdsskiller by kaspersky to check for rootkits like zeroaccess and necurs rootkit

I deleted the extension and closed all windows and reopened. seems to have solved it.

Going to install Malwarebytes now.

edit:
Malwarebytes got a bunch of hits and quarantined it off. But it still gave notifications of blocks.

So I ran in safe mode and deleted a bunch of dubious and adware looking files and folders in the programs folders. Seems to have solved it and no block notifications so far.
