Hi LPF Members,
I realize there have been adverse comments regarding an advertiser on Laser Pointer Forums. I have received various messages asking why Laser Pointer Forums "supports" this company. To be clear, Laser Pointer Forums is vendor neutral -- any business has the opportunity to apply for an ad -- and members of Laser Pointer Forums are free to post either negative or positive feedback about any company, as long as the comments don't violate the Terms of Use.
Most advertisements on Laser Pointer Forums are governed by an advertising contract that creates obligations for both parties. Therefore eliminating an advertisement, as suggested by some members, is not necessarily a simple, unilateral action.
To the best of my knowledge, the company that is currently the focus of negative comments was at one time viewed very positively by many members of Laser Pointer Forums. The complaints are a relatively recent development.
I would hope that any vendor would respond to legitimate customer complaints by improving its services and working to regain the trust of its customers.
Advertising on the forum always includes consideration of vendor reputation and performance, both at inception, and at the time of any potential renewal.
