"Active Users" list is bogus...

Hey C0ld,

I noticed that the "Active Users" list contains all users that have not formally logged off. That is to say, if I'm surfing the site on my Notebook and then shut down the Notebook (or close the browser) I will still appear "active" although I'm no longer actually surfing the site anymore...

Now this may be standard operating procedure, not sure, but it would be nice if vBulletin had an option to only list users that are truly viewing the forums... otherwise the list is all but useless. Maybe there is a "timer" that when the site isn't queried by said user for a certain length of time the session goes "inactive".

Certainly no priority topic, but if you get the chance... thanks ;)

Yea I agree or maybe even have an AFK list telling us if certain members are unavailable at the moment. I know I leave my internet browser up sometimes and even if I'm on a different site but did not close my browser, my session is saved on any website I visit before.

chances of both systems being inaccurate is unlikely, i don't think there is a known bug for either yabb or vb with this
