Here's my home connection:

Just for the hell of it, I also tested a dedicated server I have in Cali:

I would have tested from a server at work... but it's quite a bit slower than my home connection.

I think it's like $30/mo or something.

There's a very good chance that my server and the test server are in the same datacenter ;)

Well, if your server and the test server are in the same datacentre, doesn't that throw off the bandwidth numbers too? ;)

On the other hand, you have an awesome home connection. Fastest I've seen is a 5Mbps connection that we have at my work place (small business, about 20 employees), so a 25Mbps would be blazing fast... You could download a Linux CD in what, about 4 minutes?

Probably, lol

I can tell you though, that it is really fast. It's used to host web sites for a few of my clients, a couple of which are rather bandwidth intensive. So naturally, I have it on the fastest connection I can get (well, and still be able to afford to eat :p).

Something seems wrong here. The ISP average is about 3 times faster than what this is. Might give them a call sometime. Apparently this is over $100 a month. :wtf:

Comcast $33/month going through a Linksys WRT-54G router with stock firmware. I think I'm going to try DD-WRT like someone mentioned.

100 bucks a month for average 10Mbps? My dad works for shaw so we get the fastest they have for about 20$/month.
