For shooters yes, but everything else (driving, platform, etc) no. Theres also the nice home feeling of sitting on couch playing video games on a 42" screen. There might be more pixels on my computer screen, but c'mon, its only 17".

I prefer my PC because I already have it. Meaning, I don't have to go out and buy anything more to play all the games I want. I can get ROM emulators for all the old classics. And practically every game out there is available for the PC.

Then again, I still have my Odyssey2 system. My kids play that now. Soon, I'll hook up my Commodore 64 for them for even more awesome games.
