That whole post looks like an ad hominem argument. I also hate it when people talks in third person when the person is obviously listening.

The saddest thing is, that most of the ones getting ripped off are NooB's that don't even know that they have been ripped off. These poor souls (like Grix above) THINK that Tyler is helping them and giving them something when in fact, they are paying for it (sometimes more than once).

How are you going to know he's going to give you a GGW? The diodes don't have very good (if any) identification on it. If you open it up to check, you'd probably be refused a refund if it dies.

I'll compare the power to my other br's of course. I mean, of course I can't know for sure that it's a GGW, but if I suspect anything I can just send it a member with a LPM or building skills to check for me.

I can't believe in society today that when somebody say's they have never stolen something in their whole life that it sounds like, to hard to comprehend.

thats bad enough in itself yet here this thread exists and there seems to always be one. It's almost to the point where I feel a can't trust a purchase from any one on this site, and I have a pretty schweet laser budget in... IMHO.

It wasn't an argument at all. Nor did I attack you or your character. It was me trying to wrap my head around the reason that you continue to try to defend someone who you have accepted is lying, stealing, and cheating AND has been screwing you from the beginning.

If your statement was that this is an ad hominem (Latin should always be italicized in English text) against Tyler, then you are correct about the subject, but not about it being a fallacious argument. This IS a discussion about him and his character. For it to be a fallacy, it would have to be about an extraneous subject. Tyler IS the subject.

I hope you get something from Tyler. The odds are against you. Both my experience and the experience of MANY hundreds (probably thousands) of people with shipping parcels internationally will tell you alone that there were NOT TWO packages from the same person, to the same person, lost in consecutive shipments. The odds against that defy imagination. If that alone does not get through to you, it matters not what I say.

I spoke of you in the third person because, one, I was replying to and talking to EF NOT you, and two, because you said you were "done" with this and so assumed that you were no longer listening.

I think that you will have to do your math again on your "build."
Including the cost of the original parts, the shipping, and any cost for "upgrades" he has charged you, how much money are you out for a laser that has not even been delivered yet?


Plus, the differences between myself and Tyler are that I deliver my lasers, they work, I do not charge for failed diodes (unless there is clear evidence that the user did something to break it), I do not "talk you into an upgrade" for more money, I don't lie about the components, and I don't blame the post office for my mistakes.

I am human and things fail. However, when those things happen, they are rectified immediately and under warranty. How long have you been waiting for your $10 build again?

If you are extremely lucky, Tyler will feel he must "prove" something because of this conversation and so will produce something for you. However, doing it BECAUSE this will prove him trustworthy is only good for you.

Whether you realize it or not, this conversation is directed at and for much more than just you. It is to protect others from making the same mistakes you have.

I would say calling me a gullible noob both directly and between the lines is an attack on my character. However, I'm already over that. The point is that I think you expect the worst of Tyler. He has built a lot of good lasers for members, as you can see in the review section, and you treat my case as if it's the exception, and that's it's a miracle if Tyler actually speaks the truth and a GGW built arrives in my mail soon. But alright. I won't argue any more until I actually have the laser. Also, as I said, I have only paid him $140 ever, and that's for this build. It is a good deal.

And about the visual comparison of blurays, I know, hence the last sentence in my post.
