even though I don't have good enough rep to be in this secret santa thing I would say 50 to 100 dollars would be a good price range.

Voted $20 to $50... I assume this is before shipping:p

I don't think it has to be. Maybe i want to send a nice NST to Trevor but shipping is 25$. :)

That is a little much as a min/max. Its not about the money. Its about the thought :) I cant stop anyone from going under/over the limit but some people have family's to make gifts out to so its best to set the bar low and work from there :)

I think we should have a matchmaker. Ideally, we would tell the matchmaker what our gift is, its value, and our address. The matchmaker would give addresses to people with similar gift values and evaluate what gifts go to which people. That way it is completely anonymous, and people would guarantee to get a gift similar in value to the gift they gave. Please give input if you have any!

Its okay. Its the thought that counts ^^

That sounds like a pleasant idea! Though to me I don't mind what I get I just hope whatever person who gets mine is happy with what I sent

Well, you would know who you sent it to, but not knowing how the person is going to react to your gift is evident in any sort of "Secret Santa." There are simply no ways to guarantee that it's going to work out perfectly, as far as I know. I guess people can request certain things, but at this point we might as well just post everything that people are giving away so they can choose what they want to take, which is how the LPF Junk Box worked a few years ago.

Agreed. 50$ Cap is a lot now that I think about it, I doubt many people will will want to join in if they have to give an expensive gift.
